Side hustle number one is creating social media content. When I was starting on my social media journey, the first thing I did was start a YouTube channel. The reason for that is that a YouTube channel allowed me to get eyeballs on my products without spending any money.
Social media is also really good for any beginner to start because to be able to be successful in social media, you have to develop several small skills that you’re going to be using on your social media channels, like video editing, creating designs, upgrading your communication skills, learning how to sell, building an email list, and the list goes on. Social media is the easiest and fastest way for you to build an audience that is interested in what you have to sell for completely free.
Side Hustle Number 2: Flipping Instagram Theme Pages
Side hustle number two that you can start today is flipping Instagram theme pages. Instagram theme pages are all over the place, and you’re probably following one right now. To be able to make money with an Instagram theme page, the number one step that you have to take is to make sure that you choose a niche to build your Instagram theme page that is monetizable.

When I say thumbnail designer, the first thing that comes to most people’s mind is the amount of competition that you have to go through to be successful in this side hustle. But really, what most people call competition is just a bunch of people who say they do thumbnail design and have no idea what they’re doing.
Creating a YouTube thumbnail is not just about designing the thumbnail itself—it’s about understanding what has to be in the thumbnail to increase the click-through rate (CTR). If you understand how to create thumbnails that actually target the right audience and increase the CTR, you can charge a premium for your services.
Side Hustle Number 4: Creating Logos
Side hustle number four is creating logos. Creating logos is pretty much the same as designing YouTube thumbnails. Logos don’t even have to be that complicated; simple logos like Nike, Adidas, and Apple are prime examples.
When I was looking for a designer to create my Pro University logo, I found a designer on Fiverr who did exactly what I was looking for. If you understand the concept and the idea behind the logo, creating one becomes relatively simple, especially with the use of AI tools like Photoshop AI and Canva.
Side Hustle Number 5: Being a High Ticket Closer
Side hustle number five is being a high-ticket closer. Being a high-ticket closer is probably one of the easiest things you can start doing right now with zero cash upfront to make a lot of money. As a high-ticket closer, you’ll be selling other people’s products and earning commissions without having to create your products.
You can start by reaching out to business owners, offering to sell their products for them, and earning a commission—typically 10–30% per sale. If you can sell a $1,000 product and earn $300 per sale, making three sales a day can already bring you in $900.

Side hustle number six is web design. Web design can get you big paydays if you get good at it. There are three routes you can take to design websites for people, ranging from easy to hard:

- Drag and Drop Website Builders: Tools like Elementor and WordPress allow you to create highly personalized websites, and you can sell these for $5,000 or more.

Side hustle number seven is selling digital products. Selling digital products is the side hustle I stuck with, and it’s not just a side hustle for me—it’s my actual business.
Digital products can be anything from ebooks to courses to audiobooks. The best part is that you can create a digital product once and continue selling it for years, generating passive income. Plus, with social media marketing, you can promote your products without spending money upfront.
Side Hustle Number 8: Creating an App or Software Business
Side hustle number eight is creating an app or software business. The reason I left this last is because starting an app or software business typically requires some cash upfront.
However, with coding skills, you can build apps and software businesses that generate recurring monthly revenue, potentially making millions of dollars each month. If you don’t know how to code, you can hire people to build the app for you, but the potential for high returns is massive.

Let’s revisit the ladder or the pyramid to get rich online again. First, start off with something that can make you money for free (like social media). Then, build a product or service (digital is better). Once you reach the second part of the pyramid, you can start creating an app or software that generates recurring revenue.
