Simple Side Hustle That Made Over $20,000

Introduction:

This one simple side hustle has made me over $20,000. Now let me go ahead and show you the shop. Scotla made $253,000 throughout the lifetime of this store, and it’s been founded on the 26th of December 2021, so it’s been almost 2 years now. That is $125,000 a year in passive income.

Sales and Revenue Overview

You can also see here that their conversion rate is 2.07%. This might not seem very impressive, but it is very, very impressive, as you can see here from their numbers and from the amount of sales they made on their store, which is $1,519 sales. If you check out their monthly revenue, you’re going to see that they’re making a cool $7,881 in passive income every single month. This is completely passive, and I’m going to show you how you can set this up for completely free.

Previous Content on Earning Passive Income

I made a video here on my channel about a year ago showing these exact products. It shows you how you can work only on holidays and still make $1 million every single year. I will also link this video in a text file down below if you’re interested in watching that.

Seasonal Products: Focus on Holidays

What I want to show you here is that these products are based on seasonal holiday events. So the one that is coming up right now is Halloween, and they already have their Halloween products in place. As you can see on Google Trends, the Halloween search term is already going up. People have already started searching about Halloween, which makes sense because Halloween is already around the corner.

Introduction to Gelato: Print on Demand

The website we’re going to be using to automate the entire process for us is called Gelato, and you can find the link to this platform at the first link at the top of the description. Gelato is the biggest print-on-demand network, and it offers hundreds of products.

Benefits of Using Gelato

Gelato handles all the logistics for you: production, shipping, returns, and more. Since we’re using Gelato, you also don’t need any design experience. And yes, this method works globally.

Gelato as a Sponsor

Since I know that you’re going to need a platform like Gelato to be able to automate your entire process, I reached out to Gelato, and I’m happy to say we’ve partnered with them to be the sponsor of today’s video.

Features of Gelato

Here are some of my favorite features of Gelato:

  • Over 140 print-on-demand partners in 32 countries, making it a truly global service.
  • 100% free editing tools to create custom products.
  • Over 60 logistic partners ensure fast delivery.
  • Integration with leading e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Etsy, and more.

Step 2: Signing Up for Gelato

So if you’re ready to start making passive income every month, pause the video right now, use the first link at the top of the description, and join Gelato right now. You can sign up for free, get 50% off your first order, and access additional features from Gelato for the next 30 days. Gelato is completely free to use, and you only pay for what you sell.

Step 3: Choosing Your Products for the Holiday

Since the next holiday is Halloween, I’m going to be creating Halloween-themed products. I saw that Starbucks is selling personalized mugs for Halloween, and I thought it was a great idea.

Step 4: Using AI for Product Design

Now, I’m going to show you how you can easily generate design ideas using AI. There are several options to generate designs, such as MidJourney, Leonardo AI, or even ChatGPT.

Creating Your Designs Using ChatGPT

The simplest option is to use ChatGPT to generate design prompts. For example, you can ask it to generate 10 art designs based on the Halloween season. Once you have these designs, you can use the second prompt inside the text file to create images using the selected design ideas.

Saving and Formatting Your Designs

Once you’ve created your designs, right-click to save the image and change the file extension to PNG, as Gelato doesn’t accept web images. This will ensure higher-quality images for your products.

Step 5: Creating Your Etsy Store

The next step is to create your Etsy store. Etsy is a great platform for beginners because people actively go there to buy products, so you don’t need to generate traffic through ads.

Setting Up Your Etsy Account

Once you’re on Etsy’s homepage, register for an account. After you’ve registered, hover over your account name and select “Sell on Etsy.” This will lead you to the page to start your shop.

Naming Your Etsy Shop

When choosing your shop name, I recommend something that is holiday-themed but general enough to cover multiple holidays. You can ask ChatGPT for some name ideas if you’re stuck.

Step 6: Connecting Gelato with Etsy

Once your store is set up, you can link it to Gelato. This integration will allow Gelato to automatically handle product fulfillment and shipping whenever someone purchases Etsy.

Creating Products on Gelato

Once you’ve linked your Etsy store with Gelato, go to the Gelato platform and start creating your products. For example, you can choose a t-shirt and upload your designs.

Step 7: Setting Your Product Pricing and Details

Next, you’ll set your pricing and product details. I recommend offering free shipping, as this can increase sales by 50%.

Step 8: Publishing Your Product

Once you’re happy with your product, click “Publish” to make it live on your Etsy store. You can also save your product as a template for future use, making it easier to replicate the process for other products.

Step 9: Improving Your Store’s Appearance

To make your store look more professional, create a simple logo using ChatGPT or other design tools. Upload the logo to your Etsy store to give it a polished look.

Projected Earnings

With a well-designed store, you could expect to make around 741 sales per month, which could bring in around $7,290 in passive income.

Additional Products: Print on Demand Paintings

In addition to holiday products, you can also sell print-on-demand paintings, which are not limited to holiday seasons.
